Community service

   wants peace and harmony

It’s a power for Good –

all for one, one for all

Indeed, I must realize

   They don’t need what I need;

I don’t need what they need.

Wants surpass our needs.

Watch and listen with Care.

Yield and take Direction.

Provide and give a Hand.

Work hard and rest Assured.

Service does not demand,

   and is not for power,

      and is not for money,

         and is not for ratings.

Service is expectant…

With serene acceptance

   and benign indifference,

      Service does Greater Good.

So, serve with compassion

   respect and gratitude.

Find a way for the Way…

Enjoy the Fruit.

In the movie "Harvey", Elwood P Dowd, played by Jimmy Stewart, explains coping with the world this way: "Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, 'In this world, Elwood, you must be' - she always called me Elwood - 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me." Well, for years I was smart, oh so very smart, I too recommend pleasant - Trust the harmony
