Even More Humility

Humility is the simple truth…

Talk the talk, walk the walk,

“It takes courage to be humble.

It is a virtue of truth and justice.”[1]

Justice embraces compassion,

and Humility asserts the truth…

We are what we are,

and we must do what we must do.

Justice embodies mercy,

and Humility affirms the truth…

Our legacy is compassion,

and not assets or worldly success.

Justice yields equality,

and Humility grasps the truth…

Accord loathes patriarchy,

and concord abhors hierarchy.

“All those who exalt themselves

will be humbled,

and those who humble themselves

will be exalted.”[2]

In the movie "Harvey", Elwood P Dowd, played by Jimmy Stewart, explains coping with the world this way: "Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, 'In this world, Elwood, you must be' - she always called me Elwood - 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me." Well, for years I was smart, oh so very smart, I too recommend pleasant - Trust the harmony
