Reparation (next day repost)

The nature of reparation?

prayerful hope and preparation.

What does that virtue mean?

To make up for losses

with sincere devotion

and needy promotion.

“If this virtue of reparation

is not exercised

it will languish… it is a talent

that God demands of us”[1]

Ordinary acts of reparation –

a witness of good will:

Doing good for neighbor

without regard for one’s welfare

Extraordinary acts of reparation –

obedience to Truth:

Sacrificing for fervent souls

without melancholic tolls.

“Reparation is atonement

expressed through sacrifice.”[2]
