VIII Strength (Justice)

We are acceptable

for God’s healing mercy,

despite being not so good,

we have a part to play.

“The sentence we received was right,

but he has done nothing wrong.

Jesus, remember me”

“You will be with me in Heaven.”[1]

Justice restores with mercy,

the common good is ruthless,

the greater good tells the Truth,

and recognizes goodness.

So true Justice is not punitive

yes there are consequences

judgment yields to compassion –

forgives, forgets, foretells.

The delicate balance of Justice

avoids recidivism,

engenders compliance,

so strive to serve, strain to support.

“Forgive those who offend,

and you will be forgiven.

Do not forgive offenders,

and you will not be forgiven.” [2]

In the movie "Harvey", Elwood P Dowd, played by Jimmy Stewart, explains coping with the world this way: "Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, 'In this world, Elwood, you must be' - she always called me Elwood - 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me." Well, for years I was smart, oh so very smart, I too recommend pleasant - Trust the harmony
