Wisdom was born
before the valleys,
before the mountains,
before the wilderness.
Wisdom was there
when the stars were illumined,
when the horizon was reached,
when the wind was breathed forth.
Wisdom was at God’s side
whilst the sky was framed,
whilst the seas were formed,
whilst the earth was firmed.
Blessed are those who follow Wisdom,
who have eyes to see,
who have ears to hear,
for they receive graces from God.

In the movie "Harvey", Elwood P Dowd, played by Jimmy Stewart, explains coping with the world this way:
"Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say,
'In this world, Elwood, you must be' - she always called
me Elwood - 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so
