Murmur

Murmurers are disruptive.

Murmurers are distracting.

Murmurers are distressful.

“Murmurers form cliques.

Murmurers take all things personally,

Murmurers are suspicious.” [1]

They feel imposed upon,

while imposing

the imposition of their views.

“… for the reproach of their murmuring

they were destroyed by the destroyer

and perished by serpents.” [2]

Murmuring has no charity,

Murmuring has no fellowship,

Murmuring has no vision.

“A critical mind is disrespectful…

A critical heart is destructive…

A critical spirit breeds discontent.” [3]

The careful are considerate.

The careful are constructive.

The careful are content.

In the movie "Harvey", Elwood P Dowd, played by Jimmy Stewart, explains coping with the world this way: "Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, 'In this world, Elwood, you must be' - she always called me Elwood - 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me." Well, for years I was smart, oh so very smart, I too recommend pleasant - Trust the harmony
