More Meek and Humble

Start with humility

“Learn of me because I am meek

and humble of heart” [1]

What Jesus suggests is doable,

with our commitment

God sanctifies with grace

“Jesus lived in obscurity; poor, unknown,

forgotten, submissive to all;

without the acclamations of a crowd” [2]

His service was to all

from washing feet

to dying on the cross,

“… the virtue of humility

is the solution to all our troubles,

a quick remedy for all our temptations.”[3]

A lesson learned…

gentleness accommodates,

kindness cooperates.

In the movie "Harvey", Elwood P Dowd, played by Jimmy Stewart, explains coping with the world this way: "Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, 'In this world, Elwood, you must be' - she always called me Elwood - 'In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant.' Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me." Well, for years I was smart, oh so very smart, I too recommend pleasant - Trust the harmony
