Knock and the Door Opens

It’s true, when a door is closed,

somewhere windows are opened.

When rigid floors shutter,

it makes glass ceilings shatter.

And again, if not knocked,

the door will remain locked.

Persistence is required

to embrace what’s desired.

I must go through the portal

to engage the immortal

… to enter I stay open

and courageously hope in.

The door is an access

but not to what to possess;

I don’t know where the door leads

but, rest assured meets my needs.

Careful though, when I knock

I might be in for a shock,

when the door opens wide.

it’s in love I must abide.
