There is a state of emergency –
be careful and be alert.
Indeed, there is no plan,
no control of what will be.
Being emergent, regardless
of “supposed to” and “have to”
allows me to be responsive
and receptive in the moment.
In harmony with what is left,
I’m one with in between the notes
embracing the joy of grace
and the blessedness of silence.
I make a difference,
and thus, I’m different.
In this state of emergency –
as I change, so God changes.
